Meta Set to Surpass Google in Digital Ads

Tech News 4 hours ago 258 Views

A new analysis reveals that by the end of 2026, Meta could surpass Alphabet Inc. (Google's parent company) in global digital advertising revenue. According to this, Meta's advertising revenue in 2026 could rise to $243.46 billion, while Google's is expected to be around $239.54 billion. The key driver behind Meta's growth is its 'Advantage+ automated advertising system.' This system allows advertisers to easily design campaigns and improve marketing returns, which is a significant advantage. As a result, Google, which has long been the leader in the digital advertising market, now faces intense competition.

However, Google continues to maintain other revenue streams such as YouTube Premium, which contributes to its overall business income. Meanwhile, Meta has introduced advertising on platforms like WhatsApp and Threads, further intensifying competition in the digital ad market. Additionally, there is strong rivalry in the short-video market among Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Furthermore, it is expected that by 2026, Meta, Google, and Amazon together will control more than 62% of global digital advertising spending. Given this situation, Meta's rapid growth signals a shift in power within the digital advertising sector.
